“Bouncing for hams”
The Devils’ Backbone Brewing Company held a fundraiser to purchase food for the holiday season for families in need!!
DBBC employees and volunteers bounced for 24 continuous hours to help the Nelson County Pantry raise money for Christmas hams. They began at 6:00 PM on Monday, December 13th and jumped continuously around the clock until 6:00 PM on Tuesday, December 14th. The weather was clear, windy and very cold, but the Devil’s Backbone employees and some of their hardy customers bounced through the night. One of the jumpers said the beautiful night sky put on a show for them as meteor showers fell during the wee hours of the morning.
Customers came to DBBC to pledge donations to help raise the money for Christmas hams for local needy families. DBBC also donated 10% of their non-alcoholic revenue to the Nelson County Pantry!! The combined total from pledges and the Devil’s Backbone food sales was $2,100.00
Thanks for all your efforts, Devil’s Backbone employees. You really made a difference helping to make Christmas merry for the Nelson County Pantry clients.
