The 13th Annual Cans and Coins for Kids Drive, sponsored by the Nelson Senior FFA, ran from December 1, 2014 through Friday December 5, 2014. All thirty first block classes participated this year. The money collected will be going to help a Nelson County High School Student that has Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The food collected was delivered to the Nelson County Pantry on Monday December 15, 2014.  All together 6,822 non-perishable food items were collected, sorted, boxed and delivered to our Pantry by seniors in the FFA. The students loaded 3 vehicles filled with 1,682.90 pounds of food.
